Pointless Facts

*Did you know...

'Highlander' (1986)

The church scene involving Kurgan (Clancy Brown) was filmed at night time with the permission of the priests in charge. Still, Brown's lines were ad-libbed and were reportedly considered so sacrilegious that the priests off-camera were making the sign of the cross as he said them.

'The Simpsons Movie' (2007)

Work on the script began in 2003 and 158 drafts were written.

Spring Has Sprung.

As the title mentions, Spring has sprung and with it comes a new enthusiasm and new ideas. I've come to the decision that over the next 3 months, I will film as many short films as possible and edit each of them in air conditioned comfort during Summer. Why sweat when you don't have to? It's not something I enjoy. So over the coming weeks I'll be updating the casting page with character and story descriptions and hopefully I'll be able to find some people who want to act in some short films and have a fun time doing it. Some films will be silly, some films will be serious and some films will be experimental.

Some of these films will immediately end up on this site as well as You Tube, MySpace and a new site I've found named Reeled In, other shorts I'll be reserving for festivals and after 12 months of doing the world circuit, they too will be shown on the pre-mentioned sites, but I'll keep you informed of when that happens.

So enjoy the new season and you'll be seeing some new stuff soon.

Until then, stay groovy. Lee.

I'm Back!!!

Welcome back to Mysterious Ways. It took longer than I expected and many personal problems have been sorted out (as long as no new ones present themselves), but I've finally shaken out the cob webs and I am getting back into the swing of things. You'll find that I've revamped the entire site, added sections, deleted section and refined existing sections. Drop me an e-mail and let me know what you think.

This time around I probably won't post here on a weekly basis simply because this became more about my personal rantings and problems rather than about film making, and that's what we're really here for, isn't it? So check back regularly and see what's new. I have no excuse now to not create projects on a regular basis. If I want to update the site, then I have to make stuff to inform you about and post on here. I'm also hoping to put 'Dark Dreaming' in the Multimedia section within the next few weeks. I'll mention it here and on the home page when it is done.

While I think of it, click on the link above and drop by the Mysterious Ways MySpace page. I also have a private page solely for me to tool around with. From now on work and play are seperate.

Now that Spring is about to hit the Southern Hemisphere, I'm looking to work on several new projects which I will announce in the coming weeks. I hope to show them to you soon. I look forward to working again and also presenting them to you.

Until then, stay groovy. Lee.
